This school year marks Brenda's 20^th year as a public educator. Brenda is a proud U of A alumni. She started working at Hollinger Elementary as a bilingual teacher, then moved to teach at a Dual Language School in Phoenix. Brends was homesick and decided to come back to Tucson. She then started working as a Gifted and Talented Teacher in Dual Language 13 years. During this time, Brenda served as a principal designee and worked towards getting her master's degree in educational leadership. Brenda continued working in the TUSD school districts as a curriculum service provider for four years and moved into an assistant principal position. Brenda is grateful she get to serve as a principal of Ricardo Manzo Elementary in the heart of Barrio Hollywood.
